UMBC's Ice Hockey Team will be making their return to college hockey after taking two years off. UMBC folded for the first time in Fall 2017 after being a powerhouse in the ACHA D2 MACH for many years. After regrouping for two years, UMBC will be returning to the CHF D3 National Division in the fall of 2019.
The team's three captains: Sean Brown (C), Spencer Reiber (A) and Ethan Freese (A) are the only players that remain from that powerhouse D2 2017 team. Having a young team, with only two seniors, and a new coaching staff (Derek Arledge and Lee Lynch) will surely cause some bumps in the road for this new team.
We will see where this program goes and we wish all the luck to the Retrievers. #GoDawgs
