DVCHC Wins Empire Classic
Four of the top teams from the DVCHC spent November 18 – 20 playing in the Empire Classic in Vineland, NJ. The tournament is hosted by the Empire League and includes 16 of the top Division III teams in the ACHA. This is the second year for the Classic and it includes teams from College Hockey East, The Empire League, Blue Ridge Hockey and our own Delaware Valley Collegiate Hockey Conference. The tournament represents some of the most powerful teams in the ACHA and they were all battling for bragging rights to determine which league is the best.
This year the DVCHC has walked away with the title! Penn State Brandywine University, West Chester University, Alvernia University and Neumann University combined for a tournament best record of 9 wins and 3 losses. On the way to the 9 victories, the DVCHC Teams knocked off the Atlantic and Southern Region Nationally Ranked Teams # 3, 4, 5, 9, 10, 11, 13, 15
